ABOUT

As a Research School for biotechnology, FOBI’s aims are:

 

  • to contribute to the growing demand in the biotech industry for qualified research and development staff
  • to exploit joint methodological collaborations to create synergy between Copenhagen’s biotechnological PhD students
  • to secure coordination with the other biotechnological research schools organized in the Danish Biotech Research Academy and other relevant research schools
  • to secure the quality of individual PhD projects in close co-operation with the leadership of research schools, the supervisors and project coordinators
  • to attract MSc and PhD students from Denmark and abroad to the biotechnological research environments of the Faculties of Life Sciences and Health Sciences of the University of Copenhagen (KU) and the Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
  • to support the best biotechnological environment for research in Copenhagen

 

FOBI covers graduate schools: LIFE Graduate School, Copenhagen Graduate School of Health Sciences at University of Copenhagen and the PhD programme Chemistry, Biotechnology and Chemical Engineering at Technical University of Denmark.
