Post-Doc Position in metabolism engineering: Toulouse, France - 07.12.2011
A Postdoctoral Research one-year position is sought by the Molecular and Metabolic Engineering (i2m) laboratory of the LISBP institute for a position starting on the 1st trimester 2012. This project aims to develop tools for rerouting yeast metabolism to produce molecules with a high value for industry. Combinatorial engineering approaches will also be developed to introduce in yeast metabolic pathways from other organisms such as plants. Studies conducted at i2m-LISBP, mainly on cytochrome P450 enzymes, include molecular genetics, directed evolution of enzymes, rerouting the yeast metabolism, and bioinformatics analysis to predict enzyme structure/enzyme activity associations.
Candidates with experience in plant secondary metabolisms and with good knowledge in chemistry are a plus. European Union citizens or permanent residents preferred.
The LISBP is an organization that integrates fundamental research with applied practices and education in the high-level campus environment of the INSA-Toulouse School of Engineers.
