Money for Quality Improvement of the PhD education - Research School for Biotechnology - 07.09.2010

The Research School for Biotechnology (FOBI) gathers and supports the PhD education within the dynamic biotech environments at DTU-BioSys, KU-LIFE and KU-SUND. Under the FOBI´s quality improvement program it is now possible to apply for money for supporting initiatives that ensure quality in the education of the PhD students connected to FOBI. 

 

Supervisors for FOBI students can apply for a maximum FOBI contribution of 25.000 kr. for: 

• Quality improvement of existing or new courses, meetings and summer schools. This includes foreign post docs and guest professors who participate in teaching. It does not include money for equipment. Documentation of significant co-financing is an advantage.
• Quality improvement of supervision and competences in supervision.

PhD students can apply for a maximum of 5000 kr. for: 

• Scientific visits and participation in conferences

The submission will be coordinated by a responsible coordinator from each Section (LIFE, KU) or Centre (CBS, CMB, CSM and CPR at DTU and SUND, KU) as the money will be distributed according to number of PhD students. Thus the responsible coordinators (see list of responsible coordinators) must be contacted before submission and will be asked to prioritise activities in the event of competition. Use application form and submit to before October 1, 2010 with copy to responsible coordinator.
